Part-1

The Qardhan Hasana Foundation was first established in 2000M /1420 H by  Ir. H. Ahmad Gazali, Under the name of the "Integrated Islamic Education Institute for Qardhan Hasana " in district of Banjarbaru South Kalimantan Province. Integrated Islamic School (IT) including : SMA-IT, SMP-IT and SD- IT Qardhan Hasana. He's an alumni of Chemical Engineering Faculty at Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. He established a unified Islamic School to introduce the implementation of islamic education based on qur 'an and sunnah. The concept is an accumulation of the process and development of islamic religious doctrine, islamic culture and civilization through generations. With the development of the advancing age associated with science and technology, it is linked to the Al Qur 'an and the As sunnah . He was a visionary by creating the unified vision and mission of The Qardhan Hasana Integrated Islamic School that survived the holistic (comprehensive) era.

Vision : The manifestation of a noble, skilled islamic leader who mastered science and technology, caring and environmentally based on faith and taqwa that are useful and responsible.

Mission: Spritual Quoetion /Enlighten Qalbu(SQ), Emotional Quoetion/Control himmah (EQ), Intelegence Quoetion/ Brighten Up (IQ). 

Part-2

Based on a book " SISTEM PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DENGAN PENDEKATAN SQ,EQ DAN IQ" created by Ir H. Ahmad Gazali , the history records that muslims once ruled of the world in all aspects of life, especially in culture and science for more than 7 centuries, known as "The Golden Ages of Islam." The reverse is at that time "west " in the "Dark Ages of Western" century.

 The question is "why". It turns out that Education, based on Firman Allah SWT on the first revelation received by the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) : QS.Al Alaq 1-5:

1. Read! In the Name of your Lord Who created.

2. He has created man from a clot.

3. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous.

4. Who has taught by the pen.

5. He has taught man that which he knew not.

From the ablutions of Surah Al Alaq , this is a guide to the Islamic Education System that aims to draw closer to Allah SWT and to find happiness in the world and the afterlife. In the Islamic Education System, all science (useful) like both of religious science (syar 'iyyah) and general science (gair shar 'iyyah) should not be separated but should be integrated in harmony and balance where the study of religion is vibrant from public education.

In application of the Integrated Institute of Islamic Education Qardhan Hasana made up of a unified islamic school (it) : SMA-IT, SMP-IT ,SD -IT Qardhan Hasana have been defined as a school that approaches the arrangement by combining public education and religious education into a unified curriculum. With this approach, all school subjects and all school activities do not stray from the islamic frame of doctrine and value message. There is no separation, no "secularization" in which all lessons are released from islamic values and teachings,   Islam taught regardless of the context of present and future civilisations.

 In general lessons, such as mathematics, science, social, language, physical education/health, skills and other common subjects are framed with stepings islamic guidelines . Meanwhile in the study of religion, the curriculum is enriched with an approach to context era and expediency and wealth.

The other steps must also be taken to repair qalbu(heart) and brain intelligence.

 Restoring qalbu to a calm, bright heart (SQ) by sticking close (taqarrub) to Allah SWT, which is the basis of intelligence (IQ), thus controlling emotions/passions and enhancing himmah (EQ).

 All this will be well integrated if there is a mosque as a center gathering in closer to Allah as performing prayers and other religious activities. 

Final Chapter

The equally important combination in the Integrated Islamic Education System is to combine the active participation  of the learning environment: schools, homes and communities by optimizing and synchronizing the roles of teachers, parents and communities in school management and learning processes to create constructive synergy in building competence and the character of learners. Parents are actively involved to enrich and pay attention to the education process of their sons-their daughter. Meanwhile, activities such as field studies and field trips out of areas that are an effort to bring learners closer to the real world in society, such as the introduction of science and technology directly and their application.

From '2.000 to today , Qardhan Hasana   has approved on thousands of students with the application of the completed curriculum and handed down by the founder of the Qardhan Hasana Integrated Institute of Islamic Education  Ir. H. Ahmad Gazali, so it created successive generations of qur'ani who mastered science and technology based on faith and taqwa in the almighty god. Hoped for that , this institution will continue to exist at all times that the thoughts of the founders of qardhan hasana will always be present and timeless.

 May he always gain the grace and compassion of Allah SWT and get the best place by god's (Allah SWT) side. Aamiin Ya Robbal'Aalamiin. (LM/03)
